Mobile headlight restoration
A real person, in Ann Arbor, who only does headlights.
Beacon Auto Care is run by Cade Montgomery, a student at the University of Michigan. It is a small, local, one-person operation — and that is deliberately visible rather than hidden behind a faceless brand.
Why this exists
The friction was the whole problem.
Headlight restoration in this area means driving to a repair shop or a detailer, leaving your car, and waiting. For students, people working full days and anyone without a free afternoon, that is enough friction to just live with yellowed headlights instead.
Beacon removes the friction. We come to the car. You keep your afternoon.
How we work
Published price, own photos, one phone number.
The price is published because it should be. Every before-and-after photo on this site is our own work, never a stock image of someone else’s car — the dark headlight image at the top of each page is an illustration, not a customer’s vehicle. The process is written out in full on the services page so you know what you are paying for.

What that means day to day
Three things we will not do.

Hide the price
Most cars are $120, and two are $205, published on every page of this site. Bigger vehicles or a longer drive can cost more, and you will hear that number from us before we touch the car, never after.

Pass off someone else’s work as ours
Every before-and-after on this site is a real Beacon job. Where there is no photo yet, the space stays empty rather than being filled with stock. The stylised headlight in the page headers is clearly an illustration and is never presented as a job we did.

Skip the coating to go faster
The 3-year ceramic UV coating is the step that makes the work last. A restoration without it is unfinished, and it is never dropped to save time.
