Privacy Updated August 31, 2026
Your information, plainly explained.
Beacon Auto Care collects the few details needed to turn up at the right car at the right time, and nothing else. This page says exactly what those are, where they go, and how to have them removed.
The short version
- We collect what we need to do the job and contact you about it — nothing more.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we never share it for advertising.
- We use one tracking tool, the Meta Pixel, so people who visit this site may later see a Beacon ad on Facebook or Instagram. Details below.
- You can ask us to delete your details at any time and we will.
Who we are
Beacon Auto Care is a mobile headlight restoration business. Serving Ann Arbor, MI and surrounding areas. Because we come to you, we have no shop address open to the public.

What we collect, and when
When you ask for a quote
The form on our contact page asks for:
- Your name — so we know who we are speaking to.
- Your phone number — so we can reach you to agree a time.
- Your email address — optional.
- Your vehicle — optional, so we bring the right materials.
- Anything else you choose to tell us — the optional notes box, including where the car is parked and which times suit you.
We ask for nothing else. In particular, we never ask for payment details on this website. There is no card field anywhere on it, and no deposit. You pay us directly once the work is done.
There is no self-scheduling on this site. Sending the form does not book anything and does not commit you to anything — we contact you, and a time is only agreed in that conversation.
When you simply visit
Our web host records standard server logs — the pages requested, the time, the browser type, and the IP address the request came from. This happens on essentially every website and is used to keep the site running and to stop abuse. We do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not combine it with anything above.
The one tracking tool we use
This site uses the Meta Pixel — a script from Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. It is here for one reason: so that if you visit this site without getting in touch, we can show you a Beacon ad later on Facebook or Instagram.
What it collects: which pages you view on this site, and it sets a cookie so Meta can recognize your browser on a later visit to Facebook or Instagram. It does not collect your name, phone number, or anything you type into our forms. If you are separately logged into a Facebook or Instagram account, Meta's own systems may connect the two — we do not receive your identity from this, and we cannot see it.
Meta processes this data under its own policy, not ours: Meta's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of ad personalization directly in Meta's ad settings if you have an account, or block the pixel entirely with your browser's tracking-protection settings or an ad blocker.
What else we do not do
- No other analytics. No Google Analytics, no heatmap tool, no session recording.
- No third-party fonts. Our typefaces are served from our own site rather than loaded from Google Fonts, so visiting these pages does not announce you to another company.
- No sale of data, ever. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers beyond the pixel described above.
No scheduling tool. This site does not connect to a calendar and cannot book you in. Nothing you send here is written to any scheduling system automatically.
Where your information goes
Two companies process information on our behalf, and no others:
- Netlify — hosts this website and receives form submissions, so that a message is never lost if something else fails.
- Meta — receives page-view data from the pixel described above, used to show you Beacon ads on Facebook and Instagram.
Beyond that, we would only share information if we were legally required to, or if it were genuinely necessary to protect someone’s safety or our legal rights.
Text messages and calls
After you send the form, we call or text you back to agree a time, and we may call or text about that specific job afterwards — running late, needing the gate code, that sort of thing. That is the only reason we use your number.
We do not run marketing campaigns by text. If you would rather not be texted at all, say so and we will call instead.
How long we keep it
Appointments stay in our calendar, and completed jobs stay in our business records, for as long as we need them to run the business and keep proper records of work done and money received. If you ask us to delete your details, we will remove what we are not required to keep.
Your choices
Whatever your state or country entitles you to, you can ask us for any of the following and we will do it — no forms, no account required:
- Tell you what information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete your details.
- Stop contacting you.
Email team@beaconautocare.info or call (734) 221-0216. We will confirm once it is done.
Children
This is a service for vehicle owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Security, honestly stated
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and your contact details are held in password-protected accounts that only the owner of the business can access. No small business can promise perfect security, and we are not going to pretend otherwise — but we collect little enough that there is not much to lose, and we deliberately keep it that way.
Changes to this page
If we start collecting something new, or add a tool that changes any of the above, we will update this page and change the date at the top. This version is dated August 31, 2026.
